A male individual was found dead Wednesday afternoon with what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds, including injuries to the back and head, in a garden near a learning institution.
Details surrounding the discovery remain limited, but Saint Lucia Daily Post understands that police are treating the incident as a homicide.
Crime Scene Investigators are currently at the location processing the scene and gathering evidence as police work to establish the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.
The identity of the deceased has not yet been confirmed, and it remains unclear when the shooting occurred or how long the body had been at the location before being discovered.
The comes just one day after a decomposed body was found at Trouya.
However, preliminary information in that case suggests that foul play is not suspected, as the deceased had reportedly been ill.
Police have not indicated whether the two incidents are connected.
