A Babonneau woman has been charged with two counts of money laundering in the Creators Alliance investigation, with the Financial Intelligence Authority (FIA) alleging she carried out more than half a million dollars in transactions involving suspected proceeds of crime.
Sophia Pelage-David was arrested on Monday, November 2, and appeared before the First District Court on Tuesday, November 3. She was granted EC$13,000 bail in cash or suitable surety and is due back in court on December 10.
The FIA alleges that Pelage-David carried out transactions totalling EC$524,801.30 between January 23, 2024, and July 4, 2025. The authority says it believes the money was derived from criminal conduct.
Pelage-David is the second person the FIA says it has charged with money laundering in connection with Creators Alliance. The authority said Electra Ferdinand was arrested and charged with the same offence in September 2026. The investigation remains ongoing.
Creators Alliance began operating in Saint Lucia and elsewhere in the Caribbean around June 2024, according to the FIA, which described it as a pyramid-style investment scheme. The authority said its abrupt collapse in March 2025 left thousands of investors across the region facing millions of dollars in losses.
The FIA urged the public to exercise caution with unregulated investment offers and to seek independent professional advice before committing money.
