A Dennery man who had been on the run for nearly a year in connection with the murder investigation of 66 year old Augustus Forde is now in police custody after being apprehended at a medical facility.
According to police sources, the suspect had been evading law enforcement since February 2025, following a violent altercation with another male who later succumbed to injuries sustained during the incident.
Authorities say the suspect himself had sustained injuries during the confrontation but failed to seek immediate medical attention. Over time, the untreated wound reportedly became severely infected, forcing him to seek assistance at a medical facility on February 13.
It was there that the individual was recognized by a law enforcement officer, who immediately took him into custody.
Police have not released the identity of the suspect, and no further details have been provided at this time.
