The band behind “If You Leave Me Now” and the singer-songwriter behind “Next to Me” are among the first international acts confirmed for the 2027 Saint Lucia Jazz & Arts Festival, which runs from April 30 to May 9.
The Saint Lucia Tourism Authority (SLTA) unveiled American rock band Chicago and British singer-songwriter Emeli Sandé on Thursday, November 5, during the festival’s official launch in the United Kingdom. The announcement offered an early glimpse of the range of music fans can expect, with more performers to be revealed as preparations continue.
Chicago’s blend of rock and jazz has earned the band an international following over several decades. Alongside “If You Leave Me Now,” the group’s best-known hits include “Hard to Say I’m Sorry” and “You’re the Inspiration.”
Sandé has established herself as one of Britain’s celebrated contemporary vocalists, with songs including “Heaven” and “Read All About It (Part III).”
The festival will bring international, regional and Saint Lucian performers together over 10 days of music, culture and the arts. One of the island’s flagship cultural events, it draws music lovers from across the Caribbean and beyond while giving local artists a platform to share their work and visitors a chance to experience Saint Lucia’s culture.
