Human remains discovered near Pigeon Point Beach more than two years ago have been identified as those of 33-year-old Schneik Phillip, who was reported missing in November 2023.
The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force confirmed Wednesday that DNA analysis established Phillip’s identity, bringing an answer to one of the central questions surrounding the discovery while the investigation into her death continues.
The remains were discovered in the vicinity of Pigeon Point Beach, Gros Islet, on August 1, 2024, approximately nine months after Phillip was reported missing to the Babonneau Police Station. Police recovered the remains and submitted them for DNA testing to establish an identity.
Investigators officially received the DNA results on September 11, 2026, confirming that the remains belonged to Phillip. Police have not disclosed further details surrounding the circumstances of her death, saying only that investigations remain ongoing.
The RSLPF has extended condolences to Phillip’s family and loved ones and is appealing to anyone with information that could assist investigators to come forward.
