A body discovered at Anse Bason Beach in Vieux Fort has been identified as 29-year-old Larry Phillip, also known as “LJ,” of Eau Piquant, with a postmortem confirming that he died by drowning.
Phillip’s body was found on Tuesday, August 18, after officers attached to the Criminal Investigations Department of the Vieux Fort Police Station responded to Anse Bason Beach at approximately 11:00 a.m. following a report that a body had been discovered.
The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force said a postmortem examination was conducted at the Owen King EU Hospital on Tuesday, August 25. The examination determined the cause of death to be drowning.
Police have not disclosed further details surrounding the circumstances that led to Phillip’s death.
