The Carnival Planning & Management Committee (CPMC) has described the 2026 National Carnival Queen Pageant as a resounding success, following the unprecedented crowning of Nyaley Lewis and Faith Edward as Carnival Queens in a historic outcome that has sparked widespread discussion across Saint Lucia.
In a statement issued after the pageant, the Committee congratulated both women on their landmark achievement, describing their crowning as a defining moment in the island’s Carnival history.
The CPMC also expressed sincere gratitude to the delegates, judges, auditors, sponsors, production teams, and supporters whose collective efforts helped deliver one of the premier events of the Carnival season.
The Committee said the success of the pageant reflected the dedication and collaboration of everyone involved, while celebrating the intelligence, talent, and cultural pride showcased by this year’s contestants.
