Vino Barclett to Host Second Soccerama Competition

Must Read

Football excitement is building in the south of the island as Vino Barclett prepares to host a second soccerama.  “Street Soccerama” on Easter Monday, April 6th, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.

The event, set to take place at the Promenade in Vieux Fort, behind the Philip Marcellin Grounds, marks the second Soccerama organized by Barclett and forms part of activities leading up to the official launch of the Vino Barclett Football Academy.

Branded as a “Street Soccerama,” the tournament promises competitive action, community spirit, and family-friendly entertainment. Barclett wants the initiative to not only be about football but also about creating a positive sporting culture while building momentum towards his academy’s debut.

Competitive Street Football Action

Teams will consist of six players, with a maximum of four players allowed on the court at any given time. Matches will be played in two seven-minute halves, separated by a one-minute interval. To promote player safety, side tackling will not be permitted, and any team accumulating four fouls will concede a penalty to their opponents. Each game must produce a winner, ensuring fast-paced and decisive competition.

Registration is set at $50 per team, with cash prizes up for grabs:

• 1st Place: $1500

• 2nd Place: $1000

• 3rd Place: $500

Promises lots of prizes, giveaways, and entertainment throughout the day, creating an atmosphere that extends beyond the boundaries of the court.

A Family Fun Day

In addition to the football action, the Soccerama will cater to families and children. Activities will include face painting, trampoline, bouncy castle, and cotton candy, reinforcing the event’s Easter celebration theme. A fully stocked bar will also be available for patrons.

Barclett’s continued efforts through the Soccerama initiative are seen as part of a broader vision to nurture young talent and provide structured opportunities for aspiring footballers. The upcoming launch of the Vino Barclett Football Academy is expected to further strengthen football development in the community.

With strong prize incentives, structured gameplay guidelines, and family-oriented attractions, the second Soccerama is shaping up to be a major community sporting event — and a significant step toward the official unveiling of the Vino Barclett Football Academy
