There were heartfelt scenes at the Entrepot Secondary School on Monday morning as Form 2 student Tiana George returned to the classroom following a successful brain tumor surgery.
Tiana, who had been battling constant headaches for years, recently underwent an urgent medical procedure after doctors discovered a tumor. The discovery brought clarity to her prolonged suffering and set in motion a race against time to secure the necessary medical intervention.
Thanks to a wave of national support, Tiana was able to receive the life-changing surgery. Efforts to raise funds saw contributions from a wide cross-section of society, including the Cabinet of Ministers, parents, fellow students, and numerous well-wishers who rallied behind the young student and her family during a critical period.
