Over 2,000 Rounds of Ammunition Seized in Major Port Castries Raid

More than 2,000 rounds of ammunition of various calibers were seized during a major law enforcement operation at the Port of Castries on Saturday, 8th November 2025, in what authorities are describing as a significant disruption to the flow of illegal weapons and narcotics into the country.

The Gangs, Narcotics and Firearms Unit, working jointly with the Customs & Excise Department intercepted the illicit shipment during a coordinated inspection exercise.

According to RSLPF Press Office, the operation resulted in the seizure of:

2,400 rounds of ammunition, 13 kilograms of compressed cannabis and 520 grams of cannabis resin, valued at approximately EC $449,800.00 concealed within one container.

Investigations are ongoing.
