A new informative and fast-paced sports programme is coming to the airwaves of Power 97.9FM from Monday April 7, 2025.
“At the Whistle” is a programme designed to highlight and support the journey of national and regional athletes, coaches and sports administrators, both on and off the field.
Following the recent successes of St. Lucia`s Julien Alfred and Dominica`s Thea LaFond at the Paris Olympics, the Producers of “At the Whistle” are responding to a growing call for greater sports coverage and support for upcoming and seasoned athletes.
Aired weekly on Monday’s from 8pm, this dedicated sports programme will keep listeners in touch with latest results, upcoming events and discussion in the world of sports.
Described as “a worthwhile investment in sports and the young people of St. Lucia,” Power 97.9FM is happy to play our part and invite listeners and friends of sports to join us at the Whistle”.
The programme will be hosted by experienced media personality and Sports Administrator Shannon Lebourne.
