A man is in police custody in connection with the fatal shooting of 27-year-old Alana Bernard, who was gunned down just yards from her home on February 11.
According to sources, the individual turned himself in to the police over the weekend, accompanied by his attorney. He remains in custody, assisting law enforcement officials continue their investigation.
Bernard, a mother of three, was shot multiple times in broad daylight while walking home from work. Reports indicate that a vehicle approached her, and a lone gunman exited before opening fire.
