Officers attached to the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force have arrested a suspect linked to a 2024 homicide following a targeted early morning operation in Vieux Fort.
Police say the operation, conducted around 4:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, involved personnel from the Gangs, Narcotics and Firearms Unit (South) and the Tactical Response Unit (South). The exercise took place at St. Paul’s Lane, where 27-year-old Dan Decuoine Phillip was apprehended.
Phillip had reportedly been evading law enforcement since November 5, 2024, when a Warrant of Arrest in the First Instance was issued for him. The warrant was in connection with the fatal shooting of 21-year-old Nke St. Ville on September 8, 2024.
The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force expressed appreciation to members of the public who assisted in the investigation, noting that community cooperation played a key role in the suspect’s capture.
