Police carried out a large-scale operation across multiple communities on Friday evening, resulting in several arrests, drug seizures, firearm interceptions, and traffic enforcement actions.
According to preliminary information, several businesses were targeted during the coordinated exercise, with three individuals arrested for illegal possession of drugs, including cocaine, with intent to supply.
In a separate incident linked to the operation, three persons, two males and one female, are now in custody for firearm possession after officers intercepted a vehicle and discovered two firearms inside.
Law enforcement officers also issued multiple traffic tickets as part of the operation, which appeared to combine criminal enforcement with broader public safety checks.
Additionally, an American national was arrested in connection with suspected synthetic drugs believed to have entered the island through a courier service.
The operation drew widespread public attention after videos of a police motorcade, involving multiple units, circulated on social media Friday evening, prompting speculation about the scale of the exercise.
The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF) is expected to release further details on the scope and outcomes of the operation in the coming days.
At this time, authorities have not disclosed the total number of arrests, quantities of drugs seized, or specific locations involved.
Investigations are ongoing.
