Must Read

Children from across the Micoud community were treated to an afternoon of fun, gifts, and festive cheer on Sunday, December 28, when Micoud North Member of Parliament Jeremiah Norbert hosted his annual children’s Christmas party.

The event, which has become a staple on the constituency’s Christmas calendar, brought together hundreds of children and their families for an atmosphere filled with music, games, treats, and the distribution of toys. According to Norbert, the initiative is aimed at ensuring that children in Micoud experience the joy and excitement traditionally associated with the Christmas season.

Addressing the gathering, Norbert reflected on his own childhood, noting that children should never feel limited when it comes to joy and celebration, especially during Christmas. He emphasized that the children of Micoud deserve to feel valued and supported, adding that the annual event continues to grow in scale and impact each year.

He also highlighted the significance of Christmas as a time for giving, love, and unity, encouraging residents to embrace the spirit of the season beyond material gifts. He underscored the importance of celebrating the values of compassion and generosity that the season represents. “Growing up, there was no such thing as too much fun or too many toys,” Norbert said. “That is why I believe the children of Micoud deserve the very best. Christmas is a time for giving, love and togetherness, and I am happy that we can continue bringing joy to our children and improving this celebration every year.”

The children were fully engaged in activities and enjoying the festivities, with many parents expressing appreciation for the continued commitment to youth-focused initiatives in the constituency.

The Micoud North MP reaffirmed his intention to build on the success of the annual Christmas party, stating that each year the goal is to improve the experience and reach even more children within the community.
