Five Arrested & Illegal Firearm Recovered During Early-Morning Operation In Bexon

Must Read

The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force wishes to inform the public of a successful joint-law enforcement operation conducted early this morning, Friday December 12, 2025, in Country Village, Bexon.

About 4:30 a.m., officers of the Gang, Narcotics and Firearms Unit, working in collaboration with the Central Intelligence Unit and the Canine Unit, executed a search warrant at a residence identified through ongoing intelligence as a gathering point for several individuals suspected of involvement in burglaries and robberies within the Bexon area.

Many of these incidents were believed to have been committed with the use of a firearm. During the search, officers recovered one Uzi-type pistol, which was found concealed inside a bag on the premises.

As a result, five males were arrested for Possession of Firearm:

Deagho Lawrence, 20, of Odsan

Garvey Joseph, 46, of Bexon

Marlon Charles, 18, of Bexon

Jesse Charles, 20, of Bexon

Romel Edward, 22, of Laborie.

In addition to the firearm-related arrest, Deagho Lawrence was also detained on an active Commitment Warrant stemming from a previous Possession of Firearm conviction.

All suspects were transported to the Centralised Community Safety Centre, where they remain in custody as investigations continue. Formal charges relating to the recovered firearm were preferred to these five individuals and they will be taken before the first district court on Monday 15th December.

This operation represents a continued effort by the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force to disrupt criminal activity, remove illegal weapons from the streets, and ensure the safety of communities across the island.

Further updates will be provided as the matter progresses.
