Two Killed in Dennery Shootings, Homicide Count Climbs

Gun violence in Grande Ravine, Dennery claimed two lives on Saturday, September 20 in two separate incidents, pushing Saint Lucia’s homicide count to 58 for the year.

Police reported that at about 11 a.m., gunmen opened fire on an SUV in the first incident. Hours later, another male victim was targeted in a separate shooting.

Officers remain on the scene of the second incident and believe the two shootings are connected.

One of the victims has been identified as 26-year-old Sherwin Malcom Augustine, a resident of Dennery Village who succumbed to gunshot injuries to his chest.
