Police Step Up Operations After Castries Shootings — Two Firearms Seized

Must Read

In the wake of Saturday’s shootings in Castries, the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF) has intensified its operations across several communities, moving swiftly to clamp down on illegal guns and restore a sense of security.

Over the weekend, officers seized two firearms in separate interventions. One was recovered during an operation at Wilton’s Yard, while the second was confiscated at La Croix Maingot following the arrest of two men riding a motorcycle.

Police say the seizures form part of their broader, ongoing strategy to disrupt criminal activity and reduce the circulation of illegal weapons.

The RSLPF is urging citizens to remain vigilant and to partner with law enforcement in the fight against crime.
