Tourist Attacked and Robbed in Rodney Bay – Authorities Investigate Violent Assault

Rodney Bay, Saint Lucia – A 51-year-old male tourist was violently attacked and robbed in Rodney Bay on Monday evening, raising fresh concerns over security in the island’s popular entertainment district.

The incident occurred around 7:56 p.m. on February 19, when the victim was assaulted by an unidentified assailant. Reports indicate that he was struck in the head, causing him to lose consciousness. The attacker then stole the victim’s phone and wallet before fleeing the scene.

Emergency responders arrived shortly after and found the man complaining of pain to his head and knees. He sustained multiple lacerations across his body and noticeable swelling to the side of his face. After receiving on-site treatment, he was transported to Owen King European Union (OKEU) Hospital for further medical attention. His condition remains stable at this time.

The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF) has launched an investigation into the attack and is urging anyone with information to come forward.
