Capleton Returns to Headline Explosive Jazz Festival Opening Night, D’Yani Set for Saint Lucia Debut

Must Read

Barbadian audiences have already gotten a taste of what’s in store for Saint Lucia Jazz and Arts Festival 2026, as reggae powerhouse Capleton confirmed his highly anticipated return to Saint Lucia to headline the festival’s opening night on April 30.

Fresh off a high-energy showing at Barbados Reggae Weekend, Capleton signaled that his return is not just another performance, but a moment of reconnection—saying he is “elated” to headline after several years away, with a focus on bringing “energy, message, fire and blessing” to fans, while urging patrons to come out “in their tens of thousands” to share in the experience.

Known for his commanding stage presence and spiritually driven performances, the veteran artiste framed his return as something deeper than music, stressing that respect and unity remain at the core of his message, as “the people is everything… one heart, one love, one blood.”

Also generating buzz is D’Yani, who is set to make his first-ever appearance in Saint Lucia. The Spanish Town native, known for blending contemporary reggae and dancehall with traditional influences, described the opportunity as a defining moment in his career following his own showing at Barbados Reggae Weekend—expressing excitement about connecting with a new audience on the island.

The opening night lineup will also feature Asa Bantan, Valiant, LM Stone, Shervon Sealy, and Amber Digby, in what is shaping up to be a high-impact start to the festival.

Organizers are anticipating a strong turnout, with the opening night expected to set the tone for the wider festival as Saint Lucia positions itself once again as a regional hub for music, culture, and live entertainment.
