This carnival season the board is set, the strategy is bold, and the next move belongs to Island Tribe Carnival. The band officially unveiled its 2026 carnival presentation, “Chess, Not Checkers,” on Sunday evening; a powerful theme that celebrates strategy, elegance, and mastery on the grand stage of Saint Lucia Carnival.
For 2026, Island Tribe invites revelers to step into a world where every move is intentional and every section tells a story. The presentation features six striking sections designed to command the road, namely Witches of the Ninth, Grandmasters, Draconir, Halo Legion, Serpentis and Oceana – a special collaboration with Allure Carnival based in Canada.

Together, these sections capture the spirit of calculated brilliance, blending fantasy, power, and beauty in a spectacle designed for the modern carnival enthusiast.
