The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force has launched an investigation into a fatal shooting that occurred in La Pansee, Castries on Monday night.
According to initial reports, officers attached to the Criminal Investigations Department responded to the incident around 9:17 p.m., where they discovered a male victim who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the body. A medical practitioner later pronounced the individual dead at the scene.
The identity of the deceased has not yet been confirmed, as investigations remain ongoing. Authorities have also indicated that a post-mortem examination will be conducted at a later date to assist with the investigation.
Police are appealing to members of the public who may have information that could assist in identifying the victim or advancing the investigation to come forward.
