Police Investigate Fatal Shooting in Ciceron

The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force has launched an investigation into a fatal shooting that occurred in Ciceron, Castries on Saturday night.

According to official reports, officers attached to the Criminal Investigations Department responded to a report of a shooting at approximately 9:38 p.m. on February 21, 2026. Upon arrival, emergency personnel discovered a male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the chest.

The injured man was treated at the scene by the Saint Lucia Fire Service before being transported via ambulance to the Owen King European Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead by a medical practitioner.

The deceased has been identified as 25-year-old Givanni Andrew Joseph of Ciceron.

Police have confirmed that investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing. Authorities are appealing to members of the public who may have information related to the matter to contact the Major Crimes Unit at 456-3756.
