The Saint Lucia Tourism Authority (SLTA), executive producers of the Saint Lucia Jazz & Arts Festival, has officially unveiled global R&B superstars Brandy and Monica as the headline acts for the 2026 edition of the festival, an announcement that has already ignited international excitement and positioned the upcoming staging as one of the most anticipated in the festival’s history.
The reveal was made on February 10 during a media engagement at Sandals La Toc, where Festival Chairman Thaddeus Antoine offered rare insight into the complex and often unpredictable process of securing top-tier international talent.

According to Antoine, finalizing the festival’s headliners involved months of high-stakes negotiations shaped by global touring schedules, shifting market demand, and the influence of major awards seasons. “The journey to our headliners was not an easy one. It was excitement, disappointment, excitement again,” Antoine told reporters, noting that Grammy nominations and competing international offers can significantly impact both artist availability and booking costs.

He revealed that negotiations remained fluid even during earlier promotional milestones. “I got a call from an agent saying, ‘Please don’t announce the headliner tonight,’” Antoine recalled, underscoring how delicate and last-minute the process can be.
Antoine also highlighted the unique challenges of attracting U.S.-based superstars to the Caribbean, explaining that international travel often requires artists to forgo multiple performance days due to transit and recovery time. Despite these hurdles, he described the confirmation of Brandy and Monica as a major strategic win. “We will be part of their tour, which is currently taking place, and Saint Lucia will also be on the calendar of their tours,” he announced.
Beyond entertainment, Antoine emphasized that the Saint Lucia Jazz & Arts Festival remains a cornerstone of the island’s destination marketing strategy. “We don’t do the jazz festival just to say we’re having a great time. We do it to get awareness of Saint Lucia, to put us at the forefront of everybody’s minds,” he said. “People associate greatness with greatness. When they see a John Legend or another superstar coming to Saint Lucia, they Google it. They want to know where it is. They want to visit.”
He added that artists of this calibre bring with them tens of millions of followers, translating into unparalleled global visibility and brand reinforcement for Saint Lucia.

Over the years, the festival has welcomed some of the most influential figures in music, including jazz greats Herbie Hancock, George Benson, Wynton Marsalis, and Dianne Reeves, alongside global superstars such as Lionel Richie, Alicia Keys, John Legend, Davido, UB40, and Earth Wind & Fire.
The event has also remained deeply rooted in Caribbean excellence, featuring memorable performances by Machel Montano, Buju Banton, Sizzla, and Saint Lucia’s own Ronald Boo Hinkson.
Momentum is already building around the 2026 lineup, which includes Beverley Knight, Tems, Capleton, Kes the Band, Valiant, Dexter Daps, and international pop legend Billy Ocean.
With Brandy and Monica now confirmed as headliners, organizers have positioned the Saint Lucia Jazz & Arts Festival 2026 as a landmark edition, one that fuses legacy, global star power, Caribbean excellence, and strategic destination marketing, while further cementing Saint Lucia’s place on the world’s cultural map.
