Autopsy Set to Confirm Identity of Body Believed to Be Missing Saint Lucian National

Must Read

An autopsy is scheduled for Sunday, February 16, in Glens Falls to confirm whether the body discovered in New York belongs to Jahfari Joseph, a Saint Lucian national reported missing in December 2024. Authorities believe Joseph was murdered.

Joseph, 40, was last seen on December 29, and investigators suspect he was killed at a residence on Fuller Road in Peru, New York. Clinton County District Attorney Andrew Wylie previously stated in an interview with NBC5 that investigators believe Timothy Timmons is responsible for Joseph’s death. “We have information confirming that Timothy Timmons is responsible,” Wylie said, adding that Joseph was shot multiple times.

On Thursday afternoon, New York State Police and Forest Rangers conducted a search along County Route 26 in the town of Franklin, where they discovered the body of a deceased male. Authorities have tentatively identified the remains as Joseph, pending the autopsy results.

The investigation remains ongoing.
