About Youth Studying Performance and Culture (Youth S.P.A.C.)
Founded in 2011 and officially registered in 2013, Youth S.P.A.C. emerged from CAMDU’s SPAC program, which initially trained secondary school students in musical theatre. Under the leadership of Peronila Deterville, Kentillia Louis, and past mentees, the organization has expanded to offer comprehensive training in Performing Arts, Cultural Studies, and Arts Management. Today, Youth S.P.A.C. is recognized as an incubator for creatives, equipping young artists with the skills to excel both on and off the stage.
One of its flagship initiatives, She.lc, leverages the arts as a platform to amplify the voices of women and highlight critical social issues. Through innovative programs like this, Youth S.P.A.C. continues to inspire, empower, and cultivate talent in Saint Lucia and beyond.
