Jeremiah Norbert Encourages L’Abayee Students to Believe in Their Dreams

Parliamentary Representative for Micoud North, Jeremiah Norbert, has called on students of the L’Abayee Seventh-day Adventist School to believe in their dreams and remain disciplined in pursuit of their goals, delivering a powerful message of hope and resilience during a recent school visit.

Norbert addressed the student body at the invitation of school administrators, encouraging them to adopt a mindset rooted in perseverance, self-belief and consistent effort. Speaking candidly to the young audience, he stressed that their background or community should never determine the scale of their ambitions. “Your dreams are valid, no matter where you come from,” Norbert told the students. “It doesn’t matter the size of your community, the job your parents do, or the challenges around you. What matters is your discipline, your belief in yourself, and your courage to keep trying, even when things get hard” he advised.

The Micoud North representative underscored that success is not accidental but built through positive habits and steady commitment over time. He reminded students that the decisions they make now in their studies, conduct and personal development will shape the trajectory of their future. “Success is not about luck. It is about consistency. It is about the habits you build now, the respect you show, and the effort you give when no one is watching,” he said.

Acknowledging that challenges and self-doubt are inevitable, Norbert urged students to remain focused and resilient in the face of adversity. “There will be moments when things feel difficult. But growth happens when you choose to push forward anyway,” he added. “Never allow your environment to define your limits. Let your mindset define your direction.” Norbert urged.

The visit forms part of ongoing community engagement efforts aimed at strengthening youth development and reinforcing the importance of education across Micoud North. Norbert concluded by encouraging students to remain steadfast in their goals. “Your future is not something that happens to you. It is something you build, one decision, one goal, one disciplined step at a time. Keep believing. Keep working. Keep rising.” he encouraged.
