The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF) has launched an investigation into a deadly shooting that occurred in L’Abbayee, Bexon, on the afternoon of Thursday, September 18, 2025.
According to police reports, at about 4:40 p.m. officers from the Criminal Investigations Department responded to a shooting incident in the community. On arrival, they discovered two men with apparent gunshot wounds to their bodies. Personnel from the Saint Lucia Fire Service were already on scene and provided emergency care before transporting the victims to the Owen King European Hospital (OKEU).
One of the victims, identified as 24-year-old Reo Maximin of L’Abbayee, Bexon, later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead by a medical practitioner. The second victim remains hospitalized.
Police are appealing to the public for assistance as investigations continue. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 456-3770 or 456-3817. The RSLPF has assured the public that every effort is being made to bring those responsible for this incident to justice.
