A female customs official assigned to the Vieux Fort office and a male civilian are in police custody following their arrest on drug-related charges.
The arrests were made during an operation executed on Friday by the Gang, Narcotics, and Firearms Unit (GNFU) of the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF).
The RSLPF is expected to issue a formal statement on the incident at a later time, as investigations remain ongoing. The two individuals are also expected to be formally charged later this week. No further details have been released at this time.
