President joins the Chicago State Athletic Department after an impressive tenure at McPherson College in Kansas, where he served as Director of Tennis Operations and led both men’s and women’s teams to national recognition.

Chicago State’s Vice President and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics, Dr. Monique Carroll, expressed excitement about his appointment, stating: “Keiran brings a wealth of experience, passion, and a track record of success that will elevate our men’s and women’s tennis programs. We are excited to see the impact he will make on our teams, campus, and the broader Chicago community.”

During his time at McPherson College, President guided the men’s and women’s teams to top 20 ITA rankings and secured a total of four Kansas Collegiate Athletic Association (KCAC) titles, including three consecutive men’s championships from 2022-2024. His leadership earned him the 2023 KCAC Men’s Coach of the Year award, further solidifying his reputation as a top-tier coach. President’s coaching accolades also include mentoring two NAIA All-Americans and two ITA Doubles All-Americans, along with being named ITA Central Region Assistant Coach of the Year in 2020-21.

A native of Saint Lucia, President has deep roots in the sport both internationally and at home. He has represented Saint Lucia’s national tennis team and previously worked as a tennis professional at Sandals Regency La Toc. His coaching journey also took him to William Woods University in 2019, where he served as interim head coach while completing his Master’s in Business Administration.

Reflecting on his new role, President expressed gratitude and enthusiasm: “I would like to thank Dr. Carroll, President Scott, and the search committee for trusting me with the Chicago State tennis programs. I’m excited for this opportunity to help grow and build Cougar tennis in every way possible, developing not only great athletes but great people.”

As he steps into this new chapter, President carries with him not just his tactical expertise and leadership skills, but also the passion and dedication that have defined his coaching career. His appointment is a proud moment for Saint Lucia’s tennis community, as he continues to make strides on the international stage.
