RSLPF Joint Operation Results in Arrests, Firearm and Ammunition Recovery

On Friday, November 29, 2024, the Special Operations Team and the Special Services Unit of the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF) conducted an exercise in Northern Division.

During the conduct of the operation officers executed two (2) search warrants and mobile patrols in Jacmel.  

About 4:30 p.m. Officers responded to a shooting on Trinity Church Road, Castries. One male suspect was apprehended whilst attempting to flee the scene of the alleged incident. He was apprehended and Taurus Firearm with a magazine containing eight (8) rounds of Ammunition was recovered. Further investigations confirmed that he was the suspect involved in the earlier shooting in the city. 

 Ricardo George alias “Cow” was arrested and charged for the following offences:

  1. Possession of Firearm.
  2. Possession of Ammunition.
  3. Using a Firearm with intent to Cause Harm.
  4. Discharging a Firearm in Public Place.

Ricardo George was escorted to the First District Court where he submitted a bail application. He was granted bail for the sum of sixty thousand dollars ($60,000) cash or suitable surety.
