Miss Mabouya Valley Carnival Queen Pageant Returns for Third Season with Largest Contestant Cohort Yet

Must Read

The Miss Mabouya Valley Carnival Queen Pageant is set to return for its third season, with organizers promising the biggest and most exciting edition of the competition to date.

Building on two successful years that have highlighted the beauty, intelligence, talent and potential of young women within the community, the 2026 pageant will feature six contestants, the largest number of participants since the competition’s inception.

The official start of the competition will take place during the Sashing Ceremony on June 20, 2026, at 8:00 pm. The event will be streamed live on Weetv and will formally introduce the contestants as they begin their journey toward the Miss Mabouya Valley Carnival Queen crown.

According to Marketing Coordinator Melania Monbelley, the increase in participation is a testament to the pageant’s growing influence and reputation within the community.

“The fact that we have six contestants this year, our largest cohort so far, speaks volumes about the impact the pageant is having on young women throughout the Mabouya Valley community,” Monbelley said. “We are proud to provide a platform that encourages personal growth, leadership and self-confidence while celebrating the unique talents of our participants.”

Throughout the season, contestants will take part in a comprehensive development programme designed to equip them with practical life skills that extend beyond the pageant stage.

The programme will include workshops and training sessions facilitated by professionals from the pageantry, business, wellness and creative sectors. Areas of focus will include runway and stage presence, public speaking, etiquette, confidence building, personal branding, leadership development, interview preparation, health and wellness, community engagement and creative expression.

Monbelley said the pageant’s primary objective is to empower young women and prepare them to become positive ambassadors within their communities.

“We want our contestants to leave this experience with much more than a title. Through mentorship, hands-on experiences and personal development opportunities, they will gain skills and confidence that can benefit them throughout their lives,” she explained. “Our goal is to help these young women discover their strengths, embrace their individuality and realize their full potential.”

Organizers say supporters can look forward to a season filled with exciting challenges, community involvement and inspiring moments as contestants compete for the prestigious title of Miss Mabouya Valley Carnival Queen 2026.

The organizing committee has invited the public to follow the contestants’ journey and support them throughout the competition as they embark on what is expected to be a memorable and transformative experience.
