Must Read

A suspect has been formally charged in the fatal shooting of 22-year-old Tarrick Isidore, marking a significant development in a case that shocked the Dennery community last month.

Police confirmed that Joachim Evans of Odsan, Castries, was charged with murder on April 30 following a breakthrough investigation led by the Major Crimes Unit. Evans appeared before the First District Court on Monday, May 4, where he was remanded in custody at the Bordelais Correctional Facility as proceedings continue.

Isidore, of New Field, Dennery, was found dead on Sunday, April 19, along the Odsan Bypass Road with apparent gunshot wounds, triggering a homicide probe. A post-mortem conducted two days later confirmed he died from gunshot injuries to the chest and limbs.

Investigators arrested Evans on April 25 in connection with the killing. He was later positively identified during an identification procedure on April 29, paving the way for formal charges.

The case remains under active investigation, with authorities continuing to piece together the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting.
