Saint Lucia’s homicide count has climbed to four following the fatal shooting of a man in the community of Micoud in Saturday January 17th.
The deceased has been identified as Jamari Joseph, a resident of the area. Reports indicate that Joseph was fatally shot . He is the brother of a well-known Saint Lucian calypsonian.
The incident occurred under circumstances that remain unclear. Police have not yet released details surrounding the motive or events leading up to the shooting.
Law enforcement officials have since launched an active investigation and are appealing to members of the public who may have information related to the incident to come forward.
