The Saint Lucia Labour Party’s endorsed candidate for Micoud South, Dr. Shanda Lee Harracksingh says she’s “putting Chastanet on notice” and is confident of unseating the former Prime Minister at the next poll.
She describes Chastanet’s representation as being subpar and characterized his 10 years stint as performative.
“Tell Santa Claus to bring his resignation to the constituency…when the bell rings, that’s it for you,” she said.
Among her plans for the constituency is a medical scholarship for one person in her constituency per year.
Speaking on the state of healthcare in the country, the doctor has this to say: “As a medical doctor, I can say healthcare in this country is a better place than it was our years ago.”
Dr Harracksingh says she is prepared for an election as early as in the next 21 days.
