The body of a man identified as Glenison Lawrence, a recently retired teacher of the Anse La Raye Primary School, has been found at Autabor Beach early Thursday morning.
Information obtained by Saint Lucia Daily Post indicates that Lawrence left his home around 5:00 a.m., reportedly heading toward the beach. His body was later discovered along the shoreline.
The discovery was reportedly made by a man said to be mentally unwell.
Lawrence, who only recently stepped away from the classroom, was known in the Anse La Raye community for his years of service in education.
At this stage, the circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear. There is no confirmed information regarding foul play, and officials have not yet issued a statement on the matter.
A post mortem examination is expected to determine the cause of death.
