Global Submissions Call for Submissions in Inaugural Artlas Film Festival 2027

Must Read

Submissions are now open for the inaugural Artlas Film Festival (AFF), with filmmakers and screenwriters worldwide invited to enter for the 2027 edition. The move signals the launch of a new independent platform focused on storytelling, industry engagement and creative exchange.

The initiative is designed to provide opportunities for both emerging and established creatives to showcase their work and advance their careers in film and television.

AFF is registered on FilmFreeway, a leading global submission platform used by major festivals, placing it within an internationally recognised network and offering participants increased visibility.

Since submissions opened on March 1, entries have already been received from several countries and territories, including the United States, United Kingdom, Italy, Mexico, Dominica, Palestine, Ukraine, Turkey and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Submissions are being accepted in categories such as feature films, short films, documentary features, documentary shorts and screenplays. The early bird deadline is May 1, 2026, with reduced submission fees available.

Saint Lucian applicants will be able to submit free of charge through a waiver system, as part of efforts to encourage local participation.

Organisers have also outlined plans for workshops led by U.S.-based professionals, appearances by established actors, and a competitive awards programme featuring 17 categories.

Entries will be reviewed by a four-member jury with experience in filmmaking and the international festival circuit.

The official launch date for the 2027 festival is expected to be announced in the coming months.
