The Community Re-entry Programme (C-REP), implemented by the Saint Lucia Social Development Fund (SSDF), has reaffirmed its commitment to rehabilitation and reintegration through the donation of a laptop to the Bordelais Correctional Facility (BCF). The device will support program participants currently serving sentences as they continue their engagement in C-REP’s structured development and skills-building activities.
During the brief handover ceremony, C-REP Programme Coordinator, Mr. Junior Delice, emphasized the importance of equipping participants with the necessary tools to succeed both within and beyond the correctional environment.
“At the SSDF, we serve as a catalyst for change and empowerment,” said Mr. Delice. “We believe in supporting institutions that promote rehabilitation and reintegration. Through our partnership with the Bordelais Correctional Facility, we identified the need to provide resources that would assist participants as they prepare for life after incarceration. This donation will enhance their development and ensure they meet the requirements of the C-REP programme.”
The laptop, presented to the Director of the Bordelais Correctional Facility, will be utilized by participants to develop critical hard skills—an essential component of their rehabilitation journey.
The Community Re-entry Programme (C-REP) is part of the SSDF’s broader mission to empower disadvantaged and marginalized citizens through targeted social interventions. By fostering meaningful collaboration with institutions such as the BCF, the SSDF continues to promote social integration, personal development, and national cohesion.
Through initiatives like C-REP, the SSDF, an agency of the Ministry of Equity, Social Justice and Empowerment, remains steadfast in its objective to facilitate the highest level of social and economic well-being for Saint Lucia’s most vulnerable, while advancing its vision of an inclusive and prosperous society.
