Castries has been shaken by yet another outbreak of gun violence, with three people hunted down in a separate section of the city on Saturday. At least one of the victims is believed to have succumbed to gunshot injuries.
Law enforcement officers are currently on the scene, combing the area for evidence as active investigations continue.
This latest attack follows closely on the heels of an earlier shooting along Jeremie Street in Castries Saturday morning, where three individuals sustained gunshot wounds during a brazen daylight assault. One of the victims, 25-year-old Jamie Williams of Morne Du Don, was fatally shot in that incident.
Two children are believed to have been injured however the identities of the other victims from this afternoon’s attack have not yet been officially disclosed by police. Authorities are urging calm as investigations into both shootings intensify.
