Must Read

Gunfire echoed through the city of Castries once again on Wednesday, following the late-night shooting of two Grass Street residents in the Leslie Land area around 11 p.m. Tuesday.

According to initial reports, one of the victims sustained a gunshot wound to the waist, while the other was shot in the hand. The circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear as police continue their investigations.

This latest shooting adds to a disturbing uptick in gun violence across the capital in recent weeks. Several lives have been claimed in separate incidents, the most recent of which occurred in Marchand. On July 20, 45-year-old Kwame George was fatally shot outside his home.

The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF) is appealing to the public for any information that could assist in solving this most recent case. Individuals can contact the Major Crimes Unit at 456-3754, or submit anonymous tips via 555 (Crime Hotline) or the RSLPF Crime Hotline app, available on the Google Play Store.
