A man was fatally shot in the early hours of Saturday morning in Arrundel Hill, Marchand, marking the most recent in a series of violent incidents in Castries. Police responded to the shooting shortly after 1 a.m., discovering an unidentified male with fatal gunshot wounds. His identity remains unconfirmed.
A second male victim also sustained gunshot injuries and was transported to the hospital. His condition is currently unknown.
This latest shooting follows a deadly incident in Castries on Thursday evening, which claimed the lives of a man, a pregnant woman, and her unborn child.
Authorities believe Thursday’s shooting was a reprisal killing, linked to the earlier fatal shooting of a man from New Village.
Police have provided few additional details and have not confirmed any arrests. An investigation into both incidents is ongoing, and the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force is urging anyone with information to come forward.
