UNION, SAINT LUCIA – Residents of Ti Morne, Union, are reeling after a fatal stabbing incident claimed the life of a 44-year-old man on Sunday evening.
According to reports from the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF), officers from the Babonneau Police Station responded to an emergency call at approximately 5:40 p.m. regarding a stabbing. Upon arrival at the scene, law enforcement found the victim, later identified as Jeramiah Precius of Ti Morne, lying motionless with multiple stab wounds to his upper chest and lower body.
Precius was immediately transported to the Owen King European Union (OKEU) Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead by medical personnel.
Though the circumstances leading to the violent attack remain unclear, a community member—who declined to be identified—shared his harrowing encounter with Saint Lucia Daily Post.
“I came up the road, walking my dog, I end up realizing a padna of mine got stabbed. I heard him saying da mun stabbed me. I did first aid and the instinct in me,…I tried my best to help in the scenario” the resident said.
The RSLPF has since launched an investigation into the fatal stabbing and is calling on anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information to come forward.
