Ammunition and Component Part of a Firearm and Wearing a Mask in a Public Place, Charges preferred

On Saturday, November 16, 2024, about 8:20 p.m. Officers attached to the Tactical Response Unit of the Vieux Fort Police Station encountered a male suspect during the course of patrols on George Shine and Clarke Street, Vieux Fort.

While wearing a mask in a public place, nineteen (19) year-old Randal Mc Farlane of Bruceville Vieux Fort, was confronted by law enforcement officers at the intersection of George Shine Drive and Clarke Street. A search revealed one (1) magazine and three (3) rounds of .40 caliber ammunition. He was arrested and later charged for Possession of Ammunition, Possession of Component Part of a Firearm and Wearing a Mask in a Public Place with the Intent to Commit a Crime.

On Tuesday 19, November, 2024 Randal Mc Farlane was escorted to the Second District court for bail purposes. Bail was granted by court in the sum of sixteen thousand (XCD16,000.00) dollars cash or suitable surety.
