Hotel Worker Shot in Morne Du Don Gun Attack

Gun violence flared again in Castries Wednesday night, leaving a hotel worker injured after he was ambushed by two gunmen.

The incident occurred around 9 p.m. as the victim was walking home along the Morne Du Don road. According to reports, two unidentified men opened fire without warning.

A resident told Saint Lucia Daily Post that the man fled toward Rose Hill in an attempt to escape the gunmen. After reaching a safer location, he realized he had been shot in the lower abdomen.

He was later transported to a medical facility by private vehicle. His condition remains unknown at this time.

No arrests have been made, and police investigations are ongoing.

Residents in the area are calling for increased patrols and urgent action to address what they describe as a worsening gun violence crisis in Castries.
