Vieux Fort, Saint Lucia – Authorities have confirmed the identity of a man found dead in the Black Bay mangrove area on Tuesday, June 10, 2025.
Police officers attached to the Criminal Investigations Department in Vieux Fort responded to a report of a suspected homicide around 4:30 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered an unresponsive male with an apparent slash wound. The man was pronounced dead at the scene by a medical practitioner.
The deceased has since been identified as 39-year-old Darby Ettiene of La Resource, Vieux Fort.
The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force is continuing investigations into the incident and is urging anyone with information to contact the Major Crimes Unit at 456-3754 or 456-3756. Anonymous tips can also be submitted via the Crime Hotline at 555 or through the RSLPF Crime Hotline App available on the Google Play Store.
