Three men are now facing charges in connection with the fatal shooting of 25-year-old Givanni Andrew Joseph, also known as “Zuzu,” as investigators continue to piece together the events surrounding the February 21 killing in Ciceron.
Joseph was gunned down at the Gulf in Ciceron on Saturday, February 21, 2026. A post-mortem conducted on Friday, February 27, confirmed that he died as a result of a gunshot wound to the chest, according to official findings.
The case has since widened, with multiple arrests and charges laid over the past several weeks. Police say 20-year-old Vonelle Degazon was the first to be charged in connection with the incident on March 6, and he remains on remand at the Bordelais Correctional Facility.
Further investigations led to the arrest of two additional suspects—23-year-old Sanjay Papius of La Clery and 25-year-old Mayim King of Bisee—on March 21. Both men were initially charged days later with firearm-related offences following a police operation in Gros Islet, where officers intercepted a vehicle in which they were occupants.
During that operation, law enforcement recovered two firearms, an extended magazine, and dozens of rounds of ammunition, including .40 calibre and 9mm rounds, intensifying suspicions of their involvement in broader criminal activity.
On March 27, Papius and King were formally charged with murder in relation to Joseph’s death, along with possession of a firearm and possession of ammunition. Both have since been remanded to the Bordelais Correctional Facility.
With three individuals now before the courts, authorities say investigations into the matter are still ongoing, signaling the possibility of further developments in a case that has drawn significant public attention.
