As Colour Me Red marks its 20-year milestone, organizers have confirmed the return of Machel Montano as headline act for the 2026 edition — reinforcing the event’s legacy as a cornerstone of Saint Lucia Carnival.
The announcement was made Wednesday during the official launch of Colour Me Red: The Encore, heightening anticipation for Carnival 2026. The landmark edition takes place on Friday, July 17, 2026 at the Daren Sammy Cricket Ground, with limited early bird tickets now on sale.
Director of Red Carnival, Thaddeus Antoine, reflected on the brand’s evolution from concept to Carnival institution. “Color Me Red is celebrating 20 years in 2026, and 21 years of the Red Carnival Band. It was born out of the need to infuse more vibe and flavor into the Saint Lucia Carnival product. Two decades later, we remain bold, vibrant and daring.”
He added that RED — Revelers with Energy to Dazzle — continues to define the brand’s culture and consistency, enabling partnerships with institutions such as Bank of Saint Lucia and Piton.
Title Sponsor Bank of Saint Lucia reaffirmed its commitment to the event’s cultural and economic impact. Marketing Manager Genevieve Downes described Colour Me Red as a defining Carnival experience that draws more than 10,000 patrons annually. “Carnival is one of those moments that brings our people together, and Color Me Red has become a defining staple of that experience. Our commitment is also a commitment to culture.”
For 2026, organizers promise a reimagined production experience. Head of Marketing Tajma Brown described the event as an immersive spectacle rather than a traditional concert.
“Color Me Red is not just a concert built around a set list. It is one uninterrupted moment of dominance from the first blackout to the final exit.”
Organizers also unveiled plans for Red Brunch 2026 on Sunday, July 19 — the final Sunday before the Parade of the Bands. Event Director Kevyn Arnold described it as an upscale, chic daytime Carnival reset, themed Red Rivera, featuring premium cuisine, flowing champagne and a carefully curated atmosphere.
With strengthened corporate backing, elevated production strategy and Montano’s highly anticipated return, Colour Me Red 2026 positions itself as one of the defining cultural moments of Saint Lucia Carnival.
