Soufriere Man Registered As Island’s Third Homicide for 2026

A 26-year-old man from Soufriere identified as Leveal Albert has been confirmed as Saint Lucia’s third homicide victim for 2026, following a fatal stabbing incident on Thursday morning.

According to official reports, the incident occurred shortly after 10:00 a.m. on Jeremie Street in Castries. The victim reportedly sustained a stab wound to the left side of his chest.

He was transported to the Owen King EU Hospital for medical treatment, where he was later pronounced dead.

The circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear at this time. Police have launched an investigation into the matter.
