SLASPA Employee Allegedly Caught in Drug Trafficking Raid

Must Read

In the continued fight against illegal drug trafficking, police successfully conducted two major operations on Wednesday, resulting in the recovery of large quantities of illicit drugs and the arrest of two individuals. Unconfirmed reports are that a SLASPA employee was among the arrested.

The first operation took place at the Cargo Shed in Castries, a location previously suspected of being used for illegal activities. During the raid, law enforcement officers apprehended a man found in possession of substantial amounts of narcotics. Preliminary assessments suggest that the drugs were intended for distribution, and investigations are ongoing to determine the full scope of the operation and its potential connections to larger trafficking networks.

Simultaneously, the second bust was executed at the Vigie cargo shed, where police intercepted another individual linked to drug smuggling, and significant quantities of illegal substances were confiscated.

These coordinated efforts highlight the importance of intelligence-led policing in tackling drug trafficking.

Police recently have emphasized that similar operations and arrests are part of a broader strategy to ensure public safety and have issued a call for the community to continue providing valuable information that can aid ongoing investigations.

There are no further details at this time.
