Gun violence struck the community of Monchy on Friday night, claiming the life of 27-year-old Darnel Edward in a fatal shooting that has left residents rattled and authorities searching for answers.
The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. on June 27, 2025. Edward was reportedly gunned down in the area and succumbed to his injuries despite emergency response efforts.
In a troubling twist, police also confirmed a second homicide that same night in Thomazo, Dennery. Details on that case remain limited.
